Held every spring at the decommissioned West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, WV, the Mock Prison Riot features hands-on training and technology exposure to corrections, law enforcement, military, and public safety practitioners from around the world.

Registration fee is $50 per person. You are responsible for paying for your travel to and from; your lodging, your meals, and the $50 registration fee for each person. Additional charges apply for Exhibitors only. All Team Members and Observers are $50 per person.
The Skills Competition is designed to test communication skills, training, endurance and teamwork, but these competitions are not training. From marksmanship, to hostage rescues, to our obstacle course, you'll find our competition exciting and challenging every year.

The Mock Prison Riot is known for bringing technology developers and end-users together under neutral, practical, and realistic circumstances, fostering partnerships that span lifetimes. The Mock Prison Riot is held at the decommissioned West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, a small city in Marshall County, West Virginia, and is situated on the Ohio River along State Route 2. The decommissioned West Virginia Penitentiary is a 150-year-old imposing, gothic structure that will absolutely amaze you the first time you see it and every time thereafter. The facility is located on 12 acres in the heart of a residential neighborhood and takes up an entire city block, with on-street Parking all around the facility.
